The theme of the project is ‘Consume’. I associated the word with ‘corrosion’. My inversigation on ‘corrosion involves corroding metal sheets with lemon juice that created a rusting effect, which exemplifies the rotting appearance of the melted plastic fruit. My artwork conveys the loss of childhood innocence consumed by time and corroded by social influence. The croc shoe ornaments were worn when my sister and I were young. The seashells are picked up by me when I was a kid. Both objects represent the innocence that was eaten away as I went outdoors less.
